Grupos de Apoyo para Latinas Maltratadas/ Support Groups for Battered Latinas

General Material
Published Date
January, 2002

"The manual is intended for any group or organization that wants to start a Spanish-language support group in their area. This will most likely be local domestic violence programs and/or Hispanic advocacy organizations, but does not have to be. Whatever your affiliation, we encourage you to work together with the domestic violence and Latino organizations in your area when starting a group. They can help spread the word about group as well as offering necessary expertise.

"We have designed this manual to let you pick and choose from the activities and materials presented here based on your needs. Each activity has brief notes and guidelines to clarify how we have used it. Handouts are prepared to be easily photocopied. We have also included four outlines of different 8 week group cycles we have done. Feel free to change and adapt material. A list of additional materials available in Spanish and contact information for organizations that can provide you with more information is in the Contact Information section of this manual."
