In this 4-part webinar series, participants will learn from programs implementing strategies that promote economic justice, housing stability, food sovereignty, and harm reduction. Part 2 will discuss how domestic violence programs can advocate for survivors who use drugs by investing in harm reduction and fighting against stigma, and explore the bigger picture of how the overdose epidemic impacts survivors of domestic violence.

The Battered Women's Justice Project (BWJP) will host a film screening for “And So I Stayed”, an award-winning documentary by Natalie Pattillo and Daniel A. Nelson about survivors of abuse fighting for their lives and spending years behind bars.

Part One, "What Does the Research Say?: Innovative Research on Abusive Partner Intervention Programs" will highlight new research in the field of abusive partner intervention that focuses on survivor perspectives on programming and strengths-based approaches to addressing the intersection of systemic racism and program compliance.

Health Partners on IPV + Exploitation and National Health Care for the Homeless Council are co-hosting a webinar on the intersection of intimate partner violence (IPV), human trafficking (HT), exploitation (E) and homelessness. The webinar will explore ways health center staff can apply a harm reduction approach when providing care for patients who have experienced IPV/HT/E.

This interactive session will be built around questions submitted by attendees regarding the importance of keeping accurate and secure records, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to these records, and how to build appropriate data retention policies.
