Introducing the StrongHearts Native Helpline: Supporting Native Survivors of Domestic Violence and Dating Violence

Event Date
Wednesday, July 26, 2017, 01:30PM

This past spring, the StrongHearts Native Helpline launched as a culturally appropriate, confidential service for American Indian and Alaska Natives affected by domestic violence and dating violence. We offer immediate support, crisis intervention, assistance with safety planning, and referrals to culturally appropriate services for Native callers. This webinar will provide an overview of the StrongHearts Native Helpline’s services and Native-centered advocacy approach. Participants will learn about what the StrongHearts means for supporting Native victim-survivors of domestic violence and dating violence in your tribal communities and organizations. The StrongHearts Native Helpline is a partnered effort of the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center and the National Domestic Violence Hotline.
